How about a sky burial? Put a platform for vultures to consume my body? Ok, not going to happen.
I actually am donating my body to science. I figure I should be of some use even after death. From what I understand the rest of me will be cremated and given to my family.

Burial is best. Cremation is not allowed in Islam.

Burial. It is the way we do things in my religion.
We are buried in plain all wood pine coffins (not even metal nails) as soon as possible after death. No waiting around for a wake. Our bodies are wrapped in simple white cloths and set into the coffin so our bodies can return to the earth as quick as possible. To us, cremation is destroying the body G-d loaned to us, which is not ours to destroy. Not to mention that when you are cremated, you get bits of Jane and Wilfred along with you.

Cremation with my ashes to be scattered a few places that are special to me. No fancy urn, either. Just take that cardboard carton and sprinkle the shell of me in my favorite places, and mix some into the soil of a new tree. Preferably a tree that produces food for people or animals.

cremation... takes less space, no burial service needed... why preserve a useless piece of husk for display(until burial)? plus, coffins are expensive.
you could feed a child in india for 10 years with a decent coffin.
maybe two-three years

Cremation! Burials are wasteful and frivolous. If you read Jessica Mitford's "Behind the Formaldehyde Curtain" you might feel the same way I do.

Cremated. Dont want to be stuffed in a box and buried in dirt, with people walking all over me all the time
