Like some other person said, I'm not sure picking the placement of your tattoo based on pain level is the wisest thing. Choice of placement should always be based on whether or not it can make both the design and the body part look awesome.

However, if pain level is a major concern for you; I would suggest the arms, especially places along your biceps because they're not really boney areas so they're less sensitive and they're nowhere near the spine; also making them less sensitive.

Dont pick a spot for a tattoo based on how much it hurts. Of course, the more fat you have on a certain area, the less it will hurt, but it should be significant, not just randomly picked. Tattoos are a part of u, so choose wisely!

ankle or sholder blade will hurt the least, however u said u either want it on the wrist or chest, go for the wrist, the chest hurts. i have 5 tattoos, 2 on my sholder blade, 1 going acrossed my chest, 1 on my hip, and a 1/2 sleave starting @ my wrist.

The best part to have a tattoo is the place where it could highlight your features.

The pain depends on the location. the nearer the muscle to the bone the more painful it is.

Consider the arm, the back and the butt to be less painful.

Anyway, tattoos are meant to be painful. Don't worry about it cause it will fade away after the procedure.

Be sure to drink a painkiller after.

It is up to you were you put it but let me tell you this...Tattoos hurt. It is all part of the process and you should embrace that. if you don't you are denying that part of the experience ebcuse that's what tattooing is about - the actual experience of having it done not just the end result. Anyone who tells you that tattooing doesn't hurt is lying to you.

Good luck and enjoy...

my first one was on the inside of my ankle. 2nd one was on the small of my back. 3rd was on my left wrist. 4th was on the right back hip. 5th was around my left ankle down my foot into a toe ring. 6th was across my back and shoulder blades. my inside ankle was one of the least painful. but my backs didnt hurt either. the one on my foot killed me.(it lasted 5 hours) and the one on my back hurt pretty bad though. good luck

The back of my neck was awesome. I almost fell asleep, it was soo relaxing. The back of my shoulder (shoulder-blade) wasn't bad either but I now wish I hadn't gotten it cuz I want a full back piece. I would stay away from the lower back and side of lower stomach areas...everyone has those and I would think you would want your's to be unique. I suggest drawing your own design. Whether that's actually drawing it, or tracing several ideas you like to make your own. Hope that helps!

It all depends on the person and how much pain they can handle. They say the more fat tissue you have under it the more cushion but I don't think that is true. I had my on my lower back and on my spine and it really didn't hurt that much. Its matter of mind over matter.

I have 6, and did 4 of them myself, on the hand between the thumb and pointer, or the inside of the ankle.
