I just found out my boyfriend calls his female friends the same nickname he calls me, "babe" "baby" "darling", you name it. I thought they were just reserved for me am I wrong to be jealous and upset about it?

I just talked to him about it. He said "babe is my term of endearment for all my female friends"

He has just told you that this nickname is nothing special to him. Your mistake is expecting that it was. Didn't you spend time getting to know this guy before you started dating him? Weren't you ever with him while his female friends were around? If so, you should've heard him do this before. If not, shame on you for taking on a boyfriend before you really knew him. That mistake can get you cheated on, beaten up or even killed nowadays.

Now, if you did spend time with him around his friends and he only started doing this after he started dating you, you have another problem -- one that you're right to be jealous about. That's an indication that he doesn't think highly of women, including you. Watch him for signs of cheating.

Either way, if you choose to stay with this guy you need something that is reserved for you that makes you feel special. He needs to have a nickname for you and you alone. Talk this over with him, then try some nicknames on for size. Bonus points if no one else knows about the nickname but the two of you.

Yea those are only for your girl not for female friend cause when he say's them to all the other girls it's not something special anymore. I don't say to just any girl those are just for my lady. If I didn't have a girlfriend then it's different. But yea i would be mad as well you should tell him to cut it out or you'll cut his A** out because those are player words. He's trying to stay cool with all the ladies and not just the one that's important to him the most... you!

Good luck

Alot of times its force of habit. The slang that one gets used to. Tell him that you dont like it, and ask him if he could stop it. Ending a relationship isnt what you want, but make sure he knows how it makes you feel.

Yeah, those are words usually used for a significant other. Tell him it bothers you, maybe he doesn't mean to hurt or offend you.
