Me (hand raised).
Because they should have never been sent in the first place, we can't win and our continued presence does not stop Iran. Yes we should be worried about Iran but we have to have allies behind us, something we don't have now.

Since even Bush now admits that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and was no threat to the U.S., EVERYONE now knows that our troops invaded Iraq for one reason only -- so that a borderline moron draft dodger could pretend to be a macho "War President" during the '04 election cycle. At a cost of several hundred billion dollars, the killing and maiming of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and Americans, and America's reputation around the world, that mission has been accomplished. So yes,our troops should come home. Meanwhile, the U.S. should be working to resolve the root cause and REAL reason for terrorism and unrest across the Mideast, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I want the troops to come home VICTORIOUS tomorrow but I know better. It'll take a while especially with the propaganda machine fighting them as hard as the insurgents.
As for Iran, were do you think the insurgents are coming from?
The war will end when Iran goes BOOM!!!
To equate the cost of war is to be defeated, we must focus on winning. Winston Churchill.
GODS SPEED TO OUR TROOPS

If I say I want them to come home, it's for selfish reasons. I don't want my brother or I to be in the middle of an Iraqi civil war (if that's what it is). At the same time, I know what will happen when we leave. Al Qaeda will move in and set up shop faster than we can say sim sim salabim. Maybe it wasn't a main front in the GWOT but it is now. We've seen to that.

I think everyone wants the troops to come home. The question is whether we want them to win or not.

Why bring them home so the terrorists will follow them to America, leave them over there, let them fight those nut jobs away from our shores. 3000+ for five years is a good causality rate for being at war, hell over 4000 people died driving in California last year now that number scares me more

All of us want the soldiers to come home. Do we want them to come home with their tail between their legs? Like Vietnam?
