In Daniel 7 we see the only clear reference to Messiah as the “Son of Man” in the Old Testament. In this passage, studied by those seeking the return of Messiah, the Son of Man is seen coming to God – clearly especially chosen by
Him to rule and yet somehow separate from Him. Messiah was clearly going to be a human being with a physical body, and yet somehow divine; He would be a uniquely anointed servant as prophesied in passages like Isaiah 52, 60, and 61.
When Jesus was born in second century Judea He was identified clearly as the Son of Man and the Son of God. He referred to Himself as such (Luke 5:24,6:5 and 10:22), the enemy identified Him as such (Luke 4:41, 8:28), God Himself
identified Him as such (Luke 3:22) and His disciples and followers continued to identify Him as such after His earthly ministry was complete. (Acts 7:56, 9:20) In the Jewish mind, as we have shown in Daniel, these titles were somewhat
interchangeable. Both titles inferred a role of ruling and speaking as one especially anointed by God in a uniquely divine way. The individual worthy to be called by these titles in the Jewish mind must be a man (a literal human male)
somehow uniquely by God given the authority and power and Spirit (Isaiah 60- 61) of God to free Israel from evil and return the glory of the Lord to dwell among His people forever. Clearly Jesus was worthy (in a way far superior to their
limited understanding of prophecy) to answer to such titles.

As early as the book of Genesis the virgin birth is foretold. Genesis 3:15 says "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." A very significant passage on several accounts:
1. "His heel" indicates the child will be a male
2. The words "her seed" indicate there is no human father because for the Hebrews a child is regarded as being the seed of his father and forefathers, not of his mother (seed is in fact an allegory for "semen")
So the very first book of the Bible tells us that the one who will come to conquer Satan, the Messiah, will be a male child conceived by a woman alone.
For a conception like this to take place, divine intervention is necessary. Therefore the Holy Ghost initiates the conception rendering the male child "the Son of God" (and the Son of Mary).
Isaiah 7:14 further backs this prophecy up. "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
By the way, in some of those very key prophesies Isaiah is NOT talking about his own children! The Old Testament prophets were the mouthpieces of God and spoke of many future events that they did not even understand, including the coming of the Messiah.
Very good question, hope this info is helpful to you.

Actually, it was not mentioned in the Old Test.
Psalms 72:1 only says
"Give the king Your judgements, O God, And Your righteousness to the king's Son."
It means Solomon asked god to judge the king and provide the king's son (not god's son) with his righteousness.
For Isaiah 9:1
"
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
"
please note, Isaisah is an aristocrat married to a prophetess. The words above clear shown that child was born during that era and as mentioned before, Humans love to use god as an excuse for his own purpose. The words riks of an aristocrat trying to gain power and proclaim that child (not Jesus Christ) a son given by the god (not god's son) and he is to be obeyed.
For Andrea :
There is no mentioned of when the anointed (chosen) one will arrive. It just says the chosen one (no where it was mentioned he being the son of god) will rule Jerusalem for 62 seven days, meaning 62 weeks or 1 year and 2 months and 2 weeks ......... nothing about 483 years ..... who made that up?

Messiah will be called the Son of God in the Old Test? The title "son of God" is frequent in the Old Testament.
"But the Messias, the Chosen One, the Elect of God, was
called the Son of God" (Ps. ii, 7).
The title "the Son of God" is frequently applied to Jesus Christ in the Gospels and Epistles.
JESUS SAID, “I AM THE SON OF GOD.” mention in John 10:36 & Matthew 27:43 NT.

I'm not sure if there is or where to find it in the Old Testament. I do know though there is still proof of Jesus in there.
This might help, read Daniel 9:25-27:
the "sevens" translated, equals 483 years in the future from the time this was written, which is around 20-30 a.d. = when Christ died and rose again.

not yet. His being as the 'Son' had not yet come. It's only a title..but the relationship of a Father-and-Son is evident.
In the OT, Jesus was always referred to as the Holy One of Israel, Holy One of God, Holy One. You can read those titles mostly on prophecy books such as the book of Isaiah..and being confirmed as Jesus by the apostles (Acts 2:27).

See Psalms 2:6-7: "Yet I have set My King On My Holy hill of Zion, I will declare the decree The Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, Today I have begotten You."
Christ is not yet upon the holy hill of Zion.
