Who has learned about The Secret and uses the teachings of it in thier lives? I believe The Secret is not just some technique...but that it is just how life really works.
And this book/dvd is here to tell us that.
I think most of us just assume things happen by default... Anyway who believes and uses what the secret teaches in their lives?

I have been practicing this philosophy since before the movie and book were released...

In a way, it's just glorified "positive thinking"...

Yes, the movie was inspirational but not earth-shattering...

Metaphysics, quantum physics, and Buddhism have been teaching these things long before the guy who wrote "Chicken Soup For The Soul"....

It's great if more people become attracted to these philosophies by being exposed to this book but it goes much deeper than this book/film...

You may want to begin your journey into the realm of quantum physics and the teachings of the Buddha to really understand.

I have watched it.

I recognize a great deal in there that I new about and have experienced. The part that I found most beneficial though was the idea of how we draw attention to the negative. This is the area I have been working with since I saw the DVD. I have been reminding myself not to dwell on things...very good thought! I haven't had enough time with it to give you much in terms of its results other than I feel better.

It has, had an impact on my kids in the best possible sense though. One of my teens is using it and his demenor has actually shifted into a more selfempowered energy. The other one is catching me when 'I' slip!

I don't care for commercialism and that is the weakest part of the whole presentation for me. But then, that is one of my beefs regarding religions! LOL! A phylosopher I met recently called religions marketing institutions.

I consciously have experienced thought forms ( I sometimes can see them hit me sailing in from other people)and have some understanding of prayer fields. So this was not a big stretch for me. I see these things in action and they manifest within my range of ability.

Most of what I saw could have come directly out of Nicheren Buddhism. I love physics and enjoyed that reference too! I also understand that idea of supression all to well. What is more threatening to hierarchy than people thinking for themselves.

Peace.

My friend Pip told me about her experiences leading up to her first division lottery win.

“It was weird because I had been doing affirmations saying ‘I am wealthy...” and “I’ve won lotto!!!!” I had the The Secret DVD and anyway I had been watching that and then started the " I am wealthy" affirmations…… http://www.psychic-junkie.com/psychic-wins-lottery.html

As a teacher of The Secret for many years, as well as being a profession psychic, I now recommend The Secret DVD to everyone. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/does-the-secret-really-work.html

I think "The Secret" is a bucha baloney. I've seen the video and pondered it. I realized that while thinking positively and negatively have a significant impact on your life, I view with great skepticism their theory that your thoughts produce waves of energy that go out in the world. They spend remarkably little time discussing the science of this theory, and instead rely on dramatic music and theatrics to sell their idea on DVDs to people who want success. Unfortunately for us, the only "secret" to success is that it requires work and constant self-improvement. All the goal posters and positive thinking in the world cant substitute for old fashioned hard work.
