You need to be honest with ur parents and try to make it up to them...to re gain their trust and confidence in you and next time they ask u to do something make it ur top priority....

Dunno your age, but you can always fall back on the "I'm only a kid!" defense. And if it's known that you're forgetful, why weren't the big responsible parents checking to remind you and make sure your thing got done? It's not like you neglected to do it on purpose, so they should cut you some major slack - at least until you're closer to being an adult.

tell them you have been hit on the head and have a mild case of memmory loss,or try telling them you have altzimers desease, or you have a hereditory memory loss, that will make them forgiving,
