I am trying to delete Adobe Reader 7.0.9 from my computer, but every time I click on remove program it says there is a program using adobe that is currently in use. I don't know what it would be since I closed all the open windows. Any ideas?

I meant 7.0.8

And I tried to go to add/remove programs and click remove, but it said there was a program currently using adobe on my computer. I didn't have any other windows open though.

I would do a hard reset to reboot the computer and erase any existing Ram in use, then try:

Start > Control Panel > Add/remove programs > double click Adobe and then hit OK.

If this doesn't work, there is a program that you can find at downloads.com called Remove on Boot, this is a very safe program, I've used it MANY MANY MANY times on various computers.

Some programs are extremely temperamental, this WILL clear it up and fix your problem if the hard reset doesn't.

Open Task Manager (Control+Alt+Delete) and see if Adobe is currently running. If it is select it and click "End Process". Then try to delete it using Add or Remove Programs.

There is no automatic uninstall program that Adobe provides, so that is probably your best bet. If you have any other versions of Adobe, delete those as well. If worst comes to worst you can delete all the files by going to the C drive> Program Files> Adobe and manually delete all the files.

Hope I can answer your question! Feel free to contact me with your solution or any other problems/details at any time.
