wouldn't it be more effective to use the ciloxin ointment 2-3 times a day rather than lid scrubs 4 times a day and the ciloxin at night?

I had recurrent blepharitis for years and finally got up the will power to do the baby shampoo eyelid wash every morning for about two years straight. It eventually worked for me. I had a big pile of clean white wash cloths and the baby shampoo next to the sink and started off each morning cleaning my eyelids. It is a pain but it works without using drugs. The drugs are just to get your eyes in good enough shape to really get serious with the baby shampoo routine.

aln,

Not really. Your blepharitis is nonulcerative, right? Then the scrub is necessary to clean off the matter that collects in order to free the follicles so the antibiotic can get to the site of the infection.

You scrub with baby shampoo? That's the usual recommended method.

It worked for me very well every time. I haven't had it for years, now.
