The best diet I have found is, if it taste good, spit it out!
No seriously, when you were smoking, two things were happening, First you were putting something in you're mouth. Secondly, the nicotine was suppressing you're appetite. Now you've lost both. Most diet pills don't work. And the ones that do help, usually still need exercises to really be effective. First get rid of all fats and sugars you possible can. NO CHIPS, NO SOFT DRINKS!
Eat lots of fruits and veggie to fill up. If there is a weight watcher or other weigh lose club close by , joining would be the best thing you can do. Nothing like support from others to
help lose weight.
Good luck And remember,It won't work unless YOU MAKE it work.

Having tried many different ones the best one for me was the shapeworks one, if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I think I just paid the postage, but for what I got it was well worth it. You have to go to my health abc.com to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.

The easiest plan is Nutrisystem, though expensive. And, it really does work.

Otherwise..just make some changes. Start eating healthy foods. Don't forget about the fruits and veggies! Keep away from junk foods, fast foods, candies, sweets and sodas. Drink a lot of water each day. It really is important for the weight loss.
Also, get active! Walking is a great start!

It also helps to keep a journal of what you're eating, when you're eating, and how many calories you're taking in. Sometimes we go into shock when we add up all those calories, but it does help to see it and make adjustments.

Good luck!

this one is pretty easy. only drink water, no soda at all! drinking a can of soda everyday will make you gain 15 pounds throughout the year. eat small amounts of food throughout the day. don't deprive yourself from food. if you are craving it eat a small amount. try to eat a minimal amount of chips or fries they make you bloated. and don't chew gum so often it also makes you bloated. with just doing that i lost 10 pounds in less than 2 months and that was without exercise. so if you exercise you will lose it faster. ride a bike, go jogging, go swimming, and lift small weights so you keep your body toned. hope this helped. :]

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
