Alcohol is a stimulant, which not only effects the brain functions, but bodily functions as well. It impairs your decision making abilities as well as your motor skills and reaction times.

it is mind altering and it may lead to an addiction. i think the dea idea of a type one addictive substance is that it will lead to addiction. nicotine is the most addictive substance, even more then heroine or its poppy, opium.
to the guy up there i downgraded, alcohol is a depressant not a stimulant.

Hello?! It is highly addictive, easy to overdose on (200 ml of pure alcohol is enough to cause death - and that is always so much fun!). Plus - it depresses your central nervous system.

Because stupid people like myself drink it on a daily basis"even though I'm only 22". It's a mind altering stimulant that is a cure for sorrows and feelings. So If your sad and don't care about anything "again like myself" It will make you feel better about yourself for a hour or 2 at your peak BAC.
