No lip service, that is for stupid people and I am not. I have a disability. I had a stroke at 23. Now at 28, I have been alone 4 too long. I have asked women on dates and always get the negative yes. The "yes" or insert positive response with the obligatory voice inflection indicating that is a really a "no". Be honest here ladies. Can a man who is not fully capable physically be found attractive? Can a man get past the initial stage and not just be a friend? I know that I am not the sum of my relational success, but it's getting old. I have too much life to live alone.

My initial reaction, based on no personal experience, is that if you still exude healthiness, you will be found very attractive. Looking healthy and fit, like it or not, is a big part of attractiveness. So, in that sense, it depends on your disability. If you're in a wheelchair, make sure that you're upper body is toned and muscular, your face clean shaven and well groomed, and your attire hip and fashionable. Be seen out regularly at bars, concerts, etc. As long as you seem like you live a normal life and you're not bothered by your disability, most women won't be bothered by it either. Not trying to be funny, but some may even want to take you home out of curiosity of what it will be like. If your lower body isn't functional in that way, make sure you use your other resources (ie, tongue and hands) to make sure it's worth her while. I have a friend who was paralyzed in a high school car accident. It was initially a harsh life change, but he didn't let it change anything except maybe play less sports, which he didn't do much anyway. He plays guitar, keeps his hair spiked up, and is active in the local punk rock/music scene. Girls really dig him. He's currently dating a chick from "The Real World".

Well for me a man is either attractive or not attractive period-nothing to do with any disbilities-but the way he acts and his personality and how he treats others-so yes a disabled man can be attractive, its just that weather they admit it or not alot of women cant get past a disability (alot of men the same way) or they act patronozing and i think this would make a person feel worse then if they just said -hey im not interested period... Please dont worry about living the rest of your life alone you sound very confident and educated and some day you are going to meet the right person for you!!

Some women are just plain shallow and dont look past the disability and look at who "you" are. I have seen guys who are in wheelchairs can never walk again and quite good looking,

Im the type of girl I would honestly give you a glance and would love to go out on a date to get to know you, you never know what could happen...

Hang in there, there are girls out there that wont be so shallow
