How should a guy go about letting a girl know he likes her...and what gets her to like him? I already plan on making a little gift for her, but what else do you girls look for? I want to give her a good reason to feel the same way about me...

I've talked to her every day after Linguistics since February. She sometimes wears her hair in a bun, using decorated sticks to hold it in place. She even told me of a pair she loved until she stepped on them one day. So it's not like I'm giving a random gift to a random girl...

Before I would give her a gift, I would just take the time to talk with her. You need to get to know her first. If you aren't even sure if she likes you, giving her a gift will send her running in the opposite direction. You don't say your age, so you need to do something age appropriate. If you are 14, ask her to a movie on Saturday afternoon or if you are 18, maybe you could ask her if she isn't busy on Saturday, if she would like to do something with you....then mention something you like that you think she will like, also. And....not watching your friend tear apart a motorcycle! As for what girls look for....it is a variety of answers here. If you are a nice guy and she likes the bad boys that treat her poorly, then you aren't going to be for her. If that is the case, you look until you find someone that will appreciate your qualities. Forget about that little gift. It will embarass her, which in turn will embarass you.

first of all, gifts is not the way to try to win a girl's heart. what you need to do is be yourself and not try to change or try be or do something that you think will impress her. Tell her that you like her but don't act desperate. if she's into you, then you'll probably be able to tell by her reaction. Don't pressure her : if she doesn't say anything tell her to think about it and you'll talk later.

Just ask her out.... even if it's a 'short' date - like grabbing coffee after class. A movie late over the weekend if the first date goes well.

It's pretty straightforward -- just ask her out on a date. If you spill all your guts to her about your feelings for her, she might get freaked out. If you just try flirting, she might not know if you're serious. Just ask her out, she'll get the picture and it'll be casual enough not to make her feel pressured, and a date gives you a chance for her to get to know you one on one and you can show off your gentleman side.

well i trust that u know that u cant make someone like u. but just talk to her and get to know her. than maybe you can develop a friendship and who knows maybe in time it will evolve to something more.
but dont get your hopes up. for now just try to be her friend. and then let everything fall into place. good luck.

don't make her a gift right away until you're going out, because thats weird.
i think you should just let her know, and if things work out cool..
the worst that can happen is that she'd say no, but atleast you can move on..

hmm lets see....be friends with her first.compliment her.little gifts are great.we like that.it doesnt have to be expensive.its the thought that counts!make sure you make her laugh.we like guys that makes us laugh.dont try to be someone youre not.just be yourself.get to know her.her likes and dislikes.lets her know that youre really interested in her!
