the ext office said that feeding turkey or gamebird feed when starting the chicks boosts the growth of the broilers. is that true? i would feed the turkey or gamebird feed as a starter then switched over to a grower ration.

I start all my babies on Turkey Crumble. It's higher in protein than chicken or duck crumble which would explain the increased growth rate.
