I had a car reposessed four years ago. For the last two years I have really cleaned up my act and have been paying back everyone I owe, thanks to credit counseling. Now however, I need a new car. I went to the dealership and the best they could do was like $330 a month! What are my chances of getting a used car loan from my bank and/or credit union (I have a bank and belong to a credit union). BTW, I checked my credit score the other day and I am at a 640. Any insight would be appreciated!

Go to your credit union and talk to them about the situation. There may be no problem at all now if you have re-established credit or you may just need a good, strong co-signer.

How much CASH can you get your hands on? Buy the cheapest set of wheels available and upgrade next year after saving more cash. Cars in the price range I'm suggesting won't lose value, its already gone.
