DONUT HOLES

Remove outside crust from a slice of bread, cut this slice of bread into 9 cubes.
Mix:


1 egg
1 c. milk
3/4 tsp. lemon juice
2 c. Bisquick

Dip each cube of bread into the batter; then deep fry. Drain, roll in powdered sugar.


WITCHCRAFT DONUTS

4 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 to 2 tbsp. grated orange rind

Heat deep fat to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients, beat vigorously 25 to 30 strokes. Turn dough onto floured surface, knead 10 times. Roll out 3/8 inch thick. Cut with floured donut cutter and place in hot fat. Fry 1 to 2 minutes per side. Remove and drain on absorbent paper. Glaze with thin chocolate icing.

ICING:

Melt 2 squares unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.) and 2 tablespoon butter over hot water. Remove from heat and blend in 3 cups sifted powdered sugar and 1/4 cup boiling water. Beat until smooth and glaze donuts.

1 cup Bisquick reduced-fat baking mix
2 tablespoons Bisquick reduced-fat baking mix
1/4 cup Splenda granular (sugar substitute)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg (or equivalent in egg substitute)
2/3 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
candy coating
2 tablespoons Splenda granular (sugar substitute)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 12 hole mini muffin pan with butter flavored cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine baking mix, 1/4 cup Splenda and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Add egg, skim milk and vanilla extract.
Mix well to combine.
Drop by spoonfuls into prepared muffin pan.
Bake for 14 to 16 minutes.
Place muffin pan on a wire rack and cool for 10 minutes.
Remove balls from pan.
In a ziploc plastic bag, combine sugar coating ingredients and place warm donut balls in 2 or 3 at a time and shake to coat.

Doughnuts

2 cups New Bisquick
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Egg
1/4 cup Milk
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg

Sugar Coating

1/4 cup Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Heat salad oil (3 to 4 inches) in heavy saucepan or deep fat fryer to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients except Sugar Coating until smooth. Gently smooth dough into a ball on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Knead 8 to 10 times. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Drop rings, 3 or 4 at a time, into hot oil. Fry about 1/2 minute on each side or until golden brown. Lift from oil with fork; drain on paper towels. While warm, shake doughnuts in Sugar Coating; (1/4 cup sugar & 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon) combined in plastic or paper bag. Makes about 1 dozen

VARIATION:
Follow recipe for Doughnuts except - drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil.
Makes 4 dozen balls.

of course you can make dounuts out of that stuff...all you got to do is poke a hole in the middle and spread it out...then put it in a deep fryer...you can spread sugar all over them after they are done or put chocolate...you can do this...believe me i have done this before, and they do taste like actual donuts you buy in a store! YUM!
