A couple days ago I tried to highlight my own hair with Revlon's Frost and Glow for medium - light brown hair. The highlights turned out yellow... and I didn't space them out as well as I would have liked.
Is it safe for me to re-dye my hair all over with Revlon Colorsilk (Dark Ash Blonde) this soon?
Will the new color (which is just a few shades lighter than my natural color) cover the yellow highlights or will it make them even more noticeable?
Is there a chance the dyes could react and turn my hair some funky color?

Please help!!

If you use a permanent color, such as colorsilk, you will lift the natural areas of your hair. It's been my experience that even if the box says it's supposed to gradually fade, it's still permanent color. It sounds like you might have already bought this product. Don't use it if that's the case.
So what will happen is that the natural parts of your hair that wasn't highlighted will be a golden blonde. (EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS ASH) The highlights will pick up the green base that creates an ash tint. So you will have gold hair with green highlights.
Sound nice? I didn't think so. The best color I can recommend for you is at Sally Beauty Supply. It's Clairol Compliments. Choose a shade like 9N or 8N & follow the directions. You will buy the color & the developer seperately. (Ask an employee to show you the one it goes with) You will also need some gloves and a mixing bottle. The color is salon quality & your hair will be in great condition.
Good luck

PUTTING ON ASH WILL GIVE YOUR HAIR A GRAY TONE INSTEAD OF A BLONDE LIKE YOU ARE LOKING FOR... WHAT HAPPENED IS YOU DIDNT LEAVE THE BLEACH HIGHLIGHTER ON LONG ENOUGH FOR IT TO PULL THE COLOR TO A LIGHTER BLONDE, TRY DOING IT ONCE MORE BUT THEN DONT DO IT AGIN FOR A FEWS WEEKS, MAKE SURE YOU CONDITION REALY GOOD BEFORE AND AFTER

the reason your hair turned yellow is it wasn't strong enough bleach solution to get the yellow out, hey, at least it is not orange which happens to darker hair. the ash will tone down the yellow and it Will be lighter than your other hair. i might be nice, it won't make them more noticeable. you should be fine

Since they are both from the same manufacturor, they probably won't turn your hair a funky color. But the newest color won't turn the same color all over. The streaks arent the same color as the rest, so when you die over them, it won't match well. You should get your hair professionally done.
