well i learned about muslim last year in my history class. =] you cant eat pork, sundays are reserved family days, polygamy for men is accepted as long as he treats each one of his wives equally and buys them the same things, you pray on ur knees 3 times a day, you have to go on jihad at least once in ur lifetime (but only with a male family member's consent), u believe in muhammed as ur prophet, and a lot more. its a deep religion.

I know a little bit. Certain things offend you that don't offend us Americans, I'm told. I heard don't show the bottom of your feet or give a thumbs up. I hear those are both disrespectful. Some muslims believe in wearing the traditional head dress, or keeping their face covered along with the rest of their body. The males wear one over their head as well and the colors mean certain things. However I forget. Muslims don't think much of women and if two men were to meet they might ask if you have a son and everything about him, but not ask about the daughter. There are some muslims who are very well off, but I believe more are on the poor side. I've heard in some places they tend to wipe with their left hand, which can make the left hand offensive. I know your religion is very strict and you pray around 5pm I believe, and in the fall around october, i think, you can't eat or have sex and maybe a few other things while the sun is out. I'm sure there is a lot more....Oh I think you have to face Mecca when you pray as well. When you have someone over for dinner you cook just about everything, because you want to make sure you are very hospitable and if the person were to say they like your TV or rug, then you'd give it to them out of respect. That's all I can remember. Oh, your race usually resides in the middleast.

I don't know any Muslims, then again how many Cajuns do you know. A shot story I was 18 when I found out I was an American, why all my family spoke Cajun and when we would see English speaking people my mother would say dam American, when we would see black people my mother would that is a Neg, and don't trust either one. So what I'm saying is Muslim is fairly new to Americans and its because we don't know we are Earthlings, so when we here the word Muslim or see one, its automatic do not trust them, so it will take time to know you and trust you. That is a true story by the way and I'm not trying to be a smartass

I know that you said you are a muslim and are represented by a icon of a woman. Not much..
The term muslim is usually some form of following the Koran, but there are many different kinds of Koran followers..You could be Sunni, Shiite, or from the Borgeous followers of Islam. Many different sects, but the 3 main groups..

Well i did say one thing byt now that i read your page i know that:

" I am pissed-off! Yeah that's right. I speak for all when I say this society is a piece of crap! Ignorant people can kiss it and rotate! I'm eighteen and a mother of two and I am proud of it! So, don't look down on me for you think you are so much better. Man, shutup! I can STILL be anything and everything you are. You think you have the right to judge me and you can't look me in the face and even have the courage enough to say the things you say online about me in my face. Well go ahead and talk about me because in don't give a care! I'm tired of all the American issues and if you think I have issues then you might be right!"

Not becoming of a muslimah

I know that, if left with just the Qoran, you are a very peaceful person. When left in the presence of a learned fanatic, you become a danger to any that anger that learned man. Too bad that you can not live in peace and tolerance. The world's inventor of numbers and taught the value of ZERO to the greeks, Your kind brought us all from the brink of doom in the dark ages.

But, your kind also gave birth to the killer's that killed two of my friends in a tower in NY. Why do you wait and hide behind the veil of "Peace" instead of cutting the cancer that poisons your beliefs from the inside. I want to believe you mean me no harm. Then I hear others of your kind condemn me out of intolerance, not for something I've done nor started of my will. What do you know of me? Do you not feel the terror I feel when I see you get on an airplane with me?

I have one worry these days. Soon, some idiot muslim will set off a WMD-NBC bomb somewhere at the urging of some angry bigot who can justify anything he does with twisting the qoran's teachings. Yes, he will go to Allah's judgment, but he and all muslims killed in retribution will wear the weight of millions of innocents blood to bring them down.

I don't call that right, and the only reason I mention it here, is that we dont always do what is right when we are angry. That is why we need others of "our" faith to keep us true to His teachings, and not the teachings of those who would pervert His teachings of peace and love. It is witten, Allah is Merciful and wise For your sake, I hope so.

Let's see...

You're a woman.
You have an attitude.
You're pissed off.
You're 18 years old.
You have 2 children.
You're proud of yourself.
You want us to shut up.
You don't care if we talk about you. Hey, wait...!
You speak English.
Your skin is brown.
You wear an unpermed natural fro with pig tails.
You're obsessed with stereotyping.
You don't kcuf on the 1st date.

How's that?

> I'm a muslim?

Is that a question, a rhetorical question, or a statement?

I "know" this....
-you're a muslim
-you're confrontational
-you got attitude
-you don't believe that I have the Truth
-you don't believe Christ is God
-you follow the Quran and its author Muhammed
-you wish to be understood
-you think there are too many stereotypes of Muslims
-you think I've got quite a lot of accurate thoughts....
-you think my answers (#1 and #3) are irksome
-you wish not to be judged
-you wish the world were a nicer place

If you are really Muslim i know all about you
cuz i m one too
but I'm not that afraid to be judged , i know i am right and do what my religion tells me to do without thinking of people opinion about me because i know if i send a question now
i am a christian what do you,,,,,,
i will be also judged maybe even more so the essence is do what you believe , not what you think people want you to believe , be yourself not anyone else and if you live i a community that abuses u because of what you think and your religion you should know someday you will be laughing at them according to QUMRAN ( The non believers makes fun of believers , and if they pass by them they wink to each other , but now the believers get even and more sitting in paradise and laughing at the ones who one day made fun of them )
so believe what you believe and do never let others judge you

A great deal, having read most of the books of Islam and having been raised in a formally Islamic family.

Now, with free speech spreading throughout Islam we shall see how much Islam can stand of knowing about us.

I suspect the coming revolution will leave Islam shining and free of dictatorships, and once again embracing science and art from around the world.

That is my hope.

Knowledge is a wonderful thing.

Everyone should read the holy books of the religion they oppose, or agree with. Save us all some fairly silly behaviors and attitudes.
