did you try reinstalling it?
if so just try to restart it.

Well nothing as of yet is compatiable with Vista (trust me i know) yahoo is working on the new messanger for vista, until then uninstall the messanger then reinstall it. You may want to make sure that you dont have a firewall that is blocking it as well. If you do then you must enable or add it to the firewall so that it can run as close to normal as it can using Vista. GL
