A male friend (I have been attracted to anyway) totally surprised me by kissing me at his apartment!!! I totally wasn't expecting it because I wasn't prepared. He kept going at it. I was so overwhelmed I was speechless when I left his place. I really like him. I just don't want to give the impression I didn't by doing that. He hasn't returned my phone call yet.

I probably wouldnt be offended, but EXTREAMLY embarrassed.
Comfort him, and just say you were startled, and that you weren't prepared. :).
Oh and tell him that you are still attracted to him ^_^.

I would hope he calls you back, and next time don't go running off!! Are you kidding? If you were into him and like what was going on, there should not have been any leaving without speaking.

If he is interested, he will return your phone call sooner or later, just don't push him to do so. You will get the opportunity to express your views to the person.

Yeah, it was a touchy situation and if you ended it like that he thinks he freaked you out and you rejected him. Now he's probably super embarassed and humiliated. Maybe he'll never talk to you again. Go over to his place wearing something really sexy and come onto him if you wanna fix it.
