Unlike dogs, cats are usually fine when meeting another cat in their home-- they won't fight, bark (obviously) or become very territorial, they will probably just sniff eachother, check each other out, and make swing a few paws to let eachother know whos boss (however they don't really have a pecking order like dogs and horses do, so this behaviour is kind of unlikely). They will most likely be friendly, but if you are really worried, just keep a close eye on both of them-- When you first bring your new cat home, keep him in his crate for about twenty minutes or until your current cat has looked at him through the bars. This way they both feel safe and unthretened. They will get the scent of the other and learn to be pals in no time!

Your new kitty might be shy for a few days but when he gets used to his new home and friends he will open up in no time! Don't worry and good luck!

It depends if they are both neutered or not. If they are, just put a little catnip down and let them acquaint with each other and see what happens.

If they are not neutered, be prepared for territory problems. They will spray their favorites spots and they will probably try to fight.

I just hope for you sake that they are neutered, just give them time to get used to each other. If it doesn't work out, it's okay. I have 5 indoor cats and all of them don't like each other. Oh well...

It took my two indoor cats almost 3 weeks to stop hissing at our new kitten, but 6 months later they all love each other.

10 rounds Feline Smackdown.

Start them out with a game. A new/strange toy they can both play with. Get them in a good mood first. It may take time or they could be best buddies from the word go.

Keep them separate for a while. While they are separate, take a washcloth and rub it over one cat (especially the sides of their face, where they like to rub your leg) and then rub it over the other cat, and vice versa. Then, when you introduce them, they are already used to the scent.

i just recently got a minskin (i already own 2 others) .. and I dont think there is a way that u can introduce them, you just have to give them a couple of days to get used to each other.

thats my best advice.

let them both roam around the house. they will each notice that there is another after a while. see how they react when you feed them or try attracting them both with a toy to get them to play. btw, that is extremely cute!

you will just have to let them do their thing until they get used to each other...the first cat is going to see a stranger trying to enter its kingdom and will want to retaliate...its just going to happen like that..but he will get use to it..
