This has to be the stupidest question of the century, but I had to ask--it's my last chance. Is there any way of determining your weight in pounds or kilos without actually using a weighing machine or a scale? I do not own one and have to wait for a couple of weeks before I can find one in the stores and buy it. So, tell me, can I still tell how much I weigh? And please don't laugh at me--I already knwo how stupid I sound.

It's not really stupid- most people think a scale is the final word about weight. The best thing to do is judge your success according to if your clothes fit better. The goal is really (for most people) the size of clothing the want to wear, not the pounds. So, if you see that your pants are not as tight in the waist, you have lost weight. That's success.

The first 2 posters are right. Ditch the scale and get a measuring tape. I can bet that none of your clothing sizes are listed in lbs or kilograms.

No, there isn't a way, but you can most definitely measure the size of your thighs, stomach, bust, and arms and see if you're losing fat that way. Take the circumference of them though.
