i was with him for 6 years, since i was 14 years, he is 32, he met my family and they like him but not to marry. i just want your opinions on these types of relationships.

Dear sister ,
you say you are a Muslim ... but I think you live in a non-Islamic country but you should remember what ALLAH said in Surat ALbakara :( What means) :And jews will never be pleased with you, nor the christians , unless you follow their creed "
Another thing , that having a boyfriend - even in the family life - is not allowed for Muslim girls
So please try to limit your relationship with this man gradually untill it finish because I'm sad to tell you that if you go on this only you will be the loser ....... sorry but you asked for help and i must answer honestly ( I'm Muslim)

According to the Islamic teacher that came to class, NO! Jewish, Christian and Muslim are all by "the books" and he said that Muslims believe in Jesus too. Mohamed said that Jesus was a great person. So if Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Allah except through Me. Why dont Muslim pp believe that. So if Mohamed said that Jesus was good and Jesus said that, there is only on God and you need your sins washed away through Jesus. Why dont Muslims believe in Jesus as Savior?????

I have friends who come from strict muslim backgrounds, and they would consider that wrong, due to the fact that Muslim belief, is different from Jewish belief. Remember, U worship Allah, and he worships the God, of abraham!
But, if to (you) religion is not so important, then be all means, continue with ur relationship! u may have to convert though, or vice versa!

2. Muslims are supposed to only MARRY other Muslims. Especially Women to Men. the reason is men are the head of the house holds. They lead and teach our children. You are straying from the Ummah and the word of Allah by both dating and being in a relationship with a Jews man (even though he is a person of the book... or could be)
(5:5) … Also, you may marry the chaste women among the believers, as well as the chaste women among the followers of previous scripture, provided you pay them their due dowries. [70:29] They keep their chastity.
[70:30] (They have relations) only with their spouses, or what is legally theirs -
[70:31] anyone who transgresses these limits is a sinner.
(94:5-8) With pain there is gain. Indeed, with pain there is gain. Whenever possible you shall strive. Seeking only your Lord.

to me, i dont think there is anything wrong religiously. ur family is probably just abiding by old fashioned religious rules, but "true love conquers all" in my opinion. but its kinda weird that when u were 14, u dated him when he was 26...isnt that illegal?

I think the more pressing question would be: What is your definition of "boyfriend". There may be other issues at stake here that may move the focus off your initial question...
