Irish girl went to London to work as a secretary&began sending money gifts to her parents.After a few years she came home to see her frail father.She pulled up at the family home in a Rolls Royce&stepped out wearing furs&diamonds.
As she walked into the house her father said "Hmm, they seem to be paying secretaries well in London."
The girl took his hands&said,"Dad I've been meaning to tell you something for years but I didn't want to put it in a letter.I can't hide it any longer...I've become a prosti#ute."
Her father gasped,put his hand on his heart and keeled over. Doctor was called but the old man had clearly lost the well to live.He was put to bed/priest was called.As the priest administered the last rites,the old man muttered.."I'm a goner,killed by the shame of what you've become!"
I only wanted nice things and to send you money&the only way was to become a prostit#te."
The old man bolted upright in bed,smiling. "Did you say pro#titute?...I thought you said PROTESTANT!!!
