The Masters prevails over all other golf tournaments. The course is perfectly manicured, the greens are treacherous, the spectators are true golf fans, none of the on-premise vendors mug their customers, and oh, by the way, all professional golfers list this tournament as THE tournament to win. That must have some merit. It is an independently run tournament in that Augusta National Golf Club limits the number of TV commercials. They just don't care. Three years ago Augusta National and the sponsors couldn't agree on an issue with a female that thought she should be a member and she threatened to picket the tournament. Augusta National told the sponsors to take a hike and they would have the tournament without TV sponsorship and they did. It is their tournament and it is manged perfectly.

Having been to both...
I would say the Masters. As that, Augusta is really pretty and it is a really fun tournament to be at!! The PGA Championship is fun.
It depends on what kind of person you are... The Masters is a really popular and really well-known tournament and it is in the news a lot. The PGA Championship is a well-known tournament too but, it is a lot calmer and more relaxing.

Although, my favorite is the Sony Open in Hawaii!! But, it was in January so.. thats not an option.

I would recommend The Masters but... you really can't go wrong with either.

Good luck and have fun!!

The Masters...the Masters is probably one of the HARDEST sporting events to go to. Ive been to 2 PGA championships before and its fun...but the Masters probably would be more fun. The only thing that might be better about going to like more than 1 masters or more than 1 PGA championship is that you can experience more golf courses for the PGA. The PGA plays different courses every year...of course Augusta is a truely great course...but its always fun to see different courses.

The Masters bar none. The course is spectacular. I've been to a PGA Championship, a Tour Championship and a U.S. Open. All great, but Augusta is beyond words.

They really are not in the same league. Many cannot recall the winner of the PGA last year but they probably can tell you who won the Masters.

Given the Masters is played at the same course every year and it is the third most important major of the year, I would choose the Masters.
However, the Open at St Andrews would be at the top of the list.
