Not all blondes are dumb. There are no brunette jokes because there are a lot more dumb blondes than brunettes (no offense), and it's a stereotype that blondes are dumb. I don't know exactly why it's blondes, but who does? It is a fact that smarter people have more copper and zinc in their hair, so that could be it.

Don't listen to them! As a natural tow-head I was pleased to find out the origin of the term "dumb blonde." In Roman times it was the fashion for BRUNETTES to dye their hair blonde. However, without modern day beauty products the bleach they used was rather harsh and left them...well...altered. Hence, BRUNETTES were the ones who were dumbed down by dyeing their hair blonde. We're just smart enough to keep our hair color...
so to answer your question I think the sterotype of mentally retarded brunettes becoming blonde has carried through generations to today's plethora of blonde jokes.
p.s. in response to the GPA insult above I graduated with a 3.5 GPA at a private university...

to tell you the truth I really don't know. Maybe brunette's are just jelous of blondes because they get all the guys, so they make up bad jokes about them! haha
I have blondish brown hair, so I don't take offence to the blonde jokes!

i dont really know there just funnier I guess but really there are brunettes out there who wish they were bloned. Plus not all blones are stupid they can be really smart I m a brunette and I am not all that smart. everone has a blonde moment trust me on that.
