Wanted to add that I own a 2003 Sonata, love it, and I am not upside down in it. That may be because I put a lot down to keep my payments reasonable. I owe $2200 and Kelley Blue Book indicates it is worth $9000 trade-in, if I remember right.

With all due respect to Bill up there, I'm yet to run into a Hyundai owner that wasn't WAY upside down in their vehicle (they owe more than it's worth). I don't care what their lease residual value is, their street value doesn't hold up.

And as far as their warranty goes, my understanding is you need to document all your maintenance or the warranty is void (you should check that out, thought). At some point a deductible kicks in also, and when you go to sell your Hyundai, the warranty is over. GMs 5 year / 100,000 mile warranty, therefore, is a better value.

I bought a 2006 Hyundai Azera, but have seen many of the new Tucson's on the road lately. Hyundai must be very popular in the Washington/Baltimore area as I see tons of Santa Fe's and Sonata's too. The Tucson looks nice, but I wouldn't buy one for myself since I need a larger vehicle with tow capacity like the Rav-4 or Santa Fe, the new Verona from Hyundai looks great for the upper end of the market.

The Tucson is an outstanding product. Don't buy into the no resale comment -- simply not true. Hyundai carries a residual(lease) value of over 50%. Not even Honda can match that.

The ride quality is very good. Gas milage is very competative.

The fit and finish is impressive and you CAN NOT BEAT the warranty.

Also it received a 5 star crash rating. Add all of that to a starting price of $16995.....you can't go wrong.

I don't have one, I just bought a used 2000 CR-V but if there were any used Tucsons at the time I would have given it a serious look, I like it. Hyundai are generating great reviews and owner satisfaction.

im currently driving a year 2005 tucson. love it so much it's the longest i've ever driven for a car. i usually change cars annually. im the first owner. great drive, good space, great for long distance, good mileage. i dont know how much you'll get it in your country, but my country has the highest taxes on cars. I paid for my 2.0 l tucson for 45 grand USD. if there's a 2007 version, should be better than this. if you can go for higher capacity, I would say go for it. it's also reliable and trustworthy.
