Everyone did catch a fish. The Older son caught two fishes actually, but the abusive father threw them back into the water, along with the older child who caught them.

ok haha i know this on ok its a Grandpa and he had his son which is a Father to his son so there are 2 sons and 2 fathers the grandpa and father are the 2 fathers and the father and the son are th 2 sons haha i knew it it makes since since there are only 3 fish and 3 people

First guy is Grandpa to the third, and Father to the second - 1 Father
Second guy is Father to the third, and Son to the first - 1 Father, 1 Son.
Third is son to the second guy, thus becoming the 'second' son.
