owner for plastics and gamakatsu ewg for treble hooks.anything owner or gamakatsu is going to be sharp .its the only hooks i fish except the lucky craft hooks which cost a bundle.oh and dont waste your time with eagle claw or mustad hooks they just arent worth losing a good fish over.

If I had to pick one overall I would say Gamakatsu but I also like Roboworm Rebarb light wire hooks for fishing plastic worms. This hook really helps when fishing the texas rig, split shot, and drop shot. Especially, if your using a really soft plastic worm. It all depends though. I use so many different types and styles of hooks. Each one has their purpose. Hope this helps, Kevin

try either one of these if not both:
gamagatsu
owner
i swear by these 2 hooks,as far as bass fishing is concerned.

if u are replacing hooks on lures i would go with the red gamagatsu hooks.
as far as worm fishing be sure and get a wide gap hook.these hooks reduce line twist as well as staying in the fish mouth when hooked.

Another vote for Gamakatsu and Owner. ( The KVD Mustad Ultra Points aren't bad- but sometimes you get a dull one. The newer designed KVD Grip Pins are pretty nice, for a Mustad hook...) Trokar?- pass......Trokars don't live up to the hype. I only use Trokar when they are on sale for the price of a similar Gama hook.....

for plastic worm=Gamakatsu shank hook
trebles=Owner in whatever size you need

These are definitley the sharpest out of the box hooks.

I prefer Gamagatsu and Daichi hooks they keep a good sharp point and have strong hook setting capabilities, they can be a little spendy but worth it.
