the number one thing to check is the bite. if they did not get it correct, it cause cause it. sometimes you cannot tell the bite is off, so best to have the dentist check it. it can be the nerve, sometimes they need time to calm down. it can be a few months sometimes. you have to baby it and don't get hot or cold on it if possible. take some neydent toothpaste and put it on there and leave it. do this several times a day. it can also be the brand of filling. some cause sensitivity more than others and some actually have to be re-done. you may need a temporary medicated filling if it gets worse and not better.

The hyG Ionic™ Toothbrush

Plaque is stubborn because it has a positive polarity, while teeth have a negative polarity. This means that plaque is attracted to teeth, much as dust is attracted to objects in your home. The hyG Ionic™ Toothbrush breaks this ionic bond by temporarily reversing the polarity of tooth surfaces. As you brush, plaque molecules are actively repelled by your teeth and drawn to the hyG’s negatively charged bristles, even in hard to reach places in your mouth.

If you got it filled with amalgam (the silver filling) It's gonna transferring cold/hot temp. to your tooth easily. Of course if this filling was not long ago, wait a bit more, it should be going away soon. But if you feel pain or discomfort, return to your dentist, and have that checked out.

Amalgam or Composite filling? Some teeth can be very sensitive to fillings weeks after, sometimes months. If the sensitivity becomes worse I would call the dentist. I use sensodyne and gel-cam to help with my sensitivity issues.
