15k is alot of money to some people. It also depends on what you are going to use it for. I'd say get a Japanese car, because it would last longer, better gas mileage and looks also good. I would have to say, get a 03-06 Honda Civic. A 99-01 Acura Integra, (If possible type-r). But my highest expectation is an Acura RSX. Just get either a Honda, Acura or Toyota.

PS If you had 5k more, i would have to say get an Acura NSX, or Nissan Skyline r-33.

P.S.S: luvs_fob it is spelled "Lamborghini" and Lamborghini's cost over 140k. Lamborghini's are sport cars made and assembled from Italy, so they are classified as Exotic Luxury sport cars. The Gallarado and Murcielago LP460 i believe are the two cars in production right now.

My first recommendation is a Hybrid, you'd be way cool. I drive a Prius, it was the 6th one sold in the county. But given your price constraint, I'd recommend the Toyota Yaris. It is a new design that looks really good and gets good mileage. I think it is a win-win, looks good, good mileage, and should hold it's value. But if you can get your folks to kick in a bit more, you can go for a Hybrid, a used one may only cost about $16k. Good Luck and Happy Birthday!

$15,000 is quite a lot to some people. Get a car that is affordable and has good gas mileage. Use the extra money you don't use to get a paint job. Try one of those sports saturns...

you could get a really nice car for 15,000 and your crazy to think thats cheep. my first car was 3,800. when your buying, get something that is comfortable, easy to handle, and good on gas, if you could find a hybrid that would be good. toyota is a great company. there cars last and are great on gas ( i have a 1991 celica )

i paid $14,300 for my brand new 2007 toyota yaris liftback. it's so cute, it gets amazing gas milage, that price is with power everything and keyless entry, the sound is good, i get tons of compliments and people think it's a hybrid. i love my new car. not to mention the reliable toyota name and peace of mind.

note: just to add..although the yaris is roomy you don't really need a lot of space because you won't be driving anyone around on your own til you've had your lisense a while. just something to consider

Toyota Corolla. It's cheap, but very dependable. Good miles per gallon. Good beginners car.

I would sugest that you get like a mid 60s to late 70s american rod so you can have fun fixing on it and look cool driving a classic.
