I keep on buying them in a chipshop, putting them in my bag to keep warm, then forgetting them for 4-5 hours. The chips and sausages reheat very well in the microwave & I've not yet been ill. I don't think I'd do it if they were left unchilled overnight, or if fish was involved.

Just to clarify - so far no problems doing this.

spence - the chipshop is my first port of call on the way home (not every night!) then I get other shopping. I normally nuke them when I get in, if I remember. Otherwise they cool off in my bag, which seals in their aroma.

Why reheat them, I buy chips from teh chip shop and eat them cold about 2 hours later. Not because I forget, just becasuse thats how i like them.

I reheat chips in the oven as I find that mircrowaving them makes them soggy or rubbery. Chips left unchilled overnight maybe meat never!

If you are referring to french fries reheating in the oven is way better and you don't get sick, but not after 24 hrs, for me.

BTW reheating pork DOES NOT GIVE YOU WORMS! Not cooking IT ENOUGH is the cause of trichenosis.
