My Boyfriend wants us to move to Iowa to be closer to his family. I have two kids from a previous marrage, and my mom would want to come with us. The only problem is that I would have to move away from my bestfriend. We all live in Minnesota, and I like it here, but I want him to be happy too. I know the cost of living is cheaper there, but I think Minneapolis is more fun. What to do??
Oh..and he did say he would want to have a baby when we are there, which I REALLY want. Maybe he's saying that to try to get me to go...

My opinion: get the marriage license, then discuss where you'll live. Until then, stay where you are.

I grew up in Ames, IA and loved it...it was a great place to grow up. You did not mention what part of IA you might go to, that can make a difference, there are some very small towns in IA and then there are the bigger cities which of course will offer more to do. Personally, I am not sure if I would ever move back as I hated the winters and my family is no longer there....but being from Minnesota you are use to the cold and depending on what part of IA you move to you should not be too far from Minnesota. In any case you need to do what you think is best for you, and your family. I wish you the best of luck!
