Wash with the index finger with soap and water. Then completely dry with a towel. Once it is dry, take a qtip, dip it in peroxide, and swab inside the belly button including the crevices. I would give it around 4 times of doing this before the odor is gone. Then make sure to wash the area each day and dry it afterwards. Moisture in dark, damp/wet places allow bacteria to fester.

He should actually take a q-tip soaked in alcohol and clean out his belly button. Actually pull it open and swab around in there between the wrinkles and get the goober dust out. After every shower he should do this and then sprinkle a little powder or baking soda in his navel.

my friend has the same problem. he shaves the hair around the belly-button then he pours green tea over the belly button and rubs it in. then he puts deorderant on the area. it has virtually no smell after that

yeah

This may sound uncouth, but its usually caused from a yeast infection. Use some vagisil gel (the feminine hygiene stuff) and it will kill it. He needs to keep the belly button clean and dry.

I wash it with body wash when I am showering and then I put perfume in it. The body wash is pretty good, just make sure you wash it very well. a q-tip can help you to clean it better.

I hope that soap and water would help... like have him stick his finger in his belly button with soap on it. And repeat until there's no more stink.

Its probably caused by the natural oils from his skin all in that one confined area. Maybe you should go to a dermatologist
