I have already taken about a year of French in school, plus some other books and such. I can have simple conversations with people, but I really need to work on my listening skills. It is still very hard for me to understand for example, French TV. Does anyone know a good product or way to improve my comprehension skills?

Well, when I learned Spanish the only way I could was going to Mexico and picking it up. You learn stuff you'll never see or hear about in books.
I would advise a Summer tirp to Quebec (I'm assuming you're from the States). It's a French-Canadian province right above NY state. Pick up the lingo.
