changed Drs. was taken off clonidine for BP and meds changed was put on Zelnorm for bowel problems. helped for a while but now have to strain again. had colonoscopy came out fine. blood work came out fine. have a dull, ache in right side all the time, feel full and gassy and bloated. any ideas?

Thanks to all who answered. Have tried the fiber and colon cleanse when had the colonoscopy. The pain is side is what concerns me. going back to my internist next week. Thanks again.

try more foods with fiber in it,also get a stool softener and see if it helps

I'm on Clonodine for BP and I have the same problem IF I don't eat enough fiber. I had half of my colon removed in 1989 so I have to be really careful I don't get constipated. I eat a lot of salads and eat Fiber One every morning. I go about every 3rd day even with that.

it could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome. do certain foods make it worse? on the otherhand, if it is your upper right side, it could be related to your gall bladder. you should see your family clinician so that you can have in palpate your abdomen to see if it hurts in any specific areas to find out more.

Have you ever tried a Colon cleanse? I think you should try that.

My doctor has me on metimusl and i eat foods with fibre.
