Okay this kinda sounds like a stupid question but everything I go to get my hair cut they NEVER cut it the way I ask them too.. am I not telling them the right thing to do? My hair is a lil longer than shoulder length and I want to keep that length but I want short layers, I even bring in pictures and all they do is cut long annoying layers that flip out so how should I tell them to cut it? Oh and can they somehow cut my current layers to make them not flip out or do I have to wait to let them grow out and get them cut out completely and have new ones put in?

ok your hair stylist is their to listen to you. before you let them get close to you with those clippers gently tell them that they don't normally cut them the way you want. don't b disrespectful but be convincing.

then tell him or her this: tell them to do a rectangular layer. no spikes just straight short layers. if they flip out go home and style it .. draw take a pic... stuff like that. then go back and have them cut it. if that doesn't work and you live in G A.
try Hair renditions.. it's in stone mountain and its beutitionist are black ( it doesn't matter though cuz the r good!!!!)

Well sometimes they do not listen to kids so you should tell a parent or guardian to tell the person how to cut your hair
