It's one of the FIRST things they should worry about, it would change their whole lives! ARGH how people can be like! that's why human race will destroy ourselves.
How selfish, if they don't care, what about the little baby? dosen't he\she matter?!.

I just got a bit altered because I don't like being called an idiot for a question I make :(
So sorry, really.

They do. If you reported the rape, they will do a rape kit, after the rape kit you will be put on antibiotics in case of STD's and you will be given a pill to prevent pregnancy.

A lot of women who are raped ARE given the morning after pill when they are examined and given the rape kit at a hospital.

However, the morning after pill is only effective for the first three days. So, if the victim is young and afraid, or they feel guilty about being raped (which is a common reaction) they may not report the rape soon enough to benefit from the morning after pill and therefore have to look at other options for dealing with a resulting pregnancy.

Here in FLorida when a rape is reported and the girl is taken to the hospital to be checked outsheis offered the after pill. It has to be taken in two doses. Its really the day and the day after that pill. However, if a girl does not report the rape suchas in a date rape casewhere theygo mostly unreported then she is left with the possibility of a pregnancy. Some women/girls are so humiliated bythe rape that theyare incapable of reporting it. Rape is a violent crime that just isnt that easy todeal with. -k-

Rape is in some ways more psychological than physical. A persons state of mind might not always be the same after a rape so they may not choose to take the pill.

I'm guessing you are talking about the morning after pill. As a rape victim, this question seems insensitive, but I guess you don't know any better. The morning after pill is offered, and in some cases maybe required.

Rape is a traumatic experience. Sometimes it's hard to assimilate what's happened. Please be more sensitive.

My fiancee was raped this past Sunday and the hospital gave her medicine that helped her. The tests were negitive.

take a psychology course in dealing with rape and try to understand what goes on in a woman's head when she's being raped and after she's been raped. then maybe you'll understand.

a lot probably do, if they report it they get one automatically. but for most, it's not really their top priority, as they are often severely traumatized (could even have post traumatic stress syndrome).
