Well, how it would work in my state is you can either come in and make a report regarding the misdemeanor committed in your presence, or, you can dime him off to the cops when you see him driving.
However, as others have said, this is not a huge priority for the police so if you call and say he's driving down Main Street, it's not likely the local agency is going to converge all cars on Main Street to look for him.
Also consider that an anonymous report is generally insufficient to permit a detention. If the officers KNOW the person driving on the suspended license and they can affirm that he is indeed driving and that his license is suspended, then they have good cause. An anonymous call of someone named Joe driving a dark colored pickup truck without a license is generally going to be legally insufficient to justify a detention.

You can report them, no one is stopping you, but the police or someone with the authority to arrest has to catch them firsthand driving with the suspended license. And they're not allowed to go hunt the person down based solely on your report. They have to stop the person on another supected infraction and then discover the suspended license.

Of course they can not ticket or arrest them on just your word, They will still have to catch them, if you know like every morning at 8 they drive to so and so, you call the non emergancy number for the police department and tell them.

Call your local police station and make a report or walk in.
DO NOT CALL 911 its not an emergency, unless the person is driving erratically or impaired.

Call your local police department and give them his name and license number. He lost it for a reason, he could be a
hazard on the road, don't wait until someone gets hurt.

Yes. Just call 911. However, for it to be any any use. You would need to provide some detailed information: on which road they are currently driving, tag#, and name of the violater.

Would you want someone to report you to the police?
If not, then drop it, If so then call.
But treat others the way you want to be treated.
And good advice unless your being raped or hurt physically don't call the police, they actually take people to jail and next time it might be you.

Your local police department, you don't have to give them any information, you just need to tell them you want to remain anonymous.
