This morning while flossing my filling came out. If I drink water it's VERY VERY sensitive, and chewing gum, and that's all that I know of since I havent tried to chew anything else over there. My mom can't get me back to the dentist until the 31st. I looked up what I should do and it says to brush after every meal but I don't really see how I can since it will hurt.. what should I do?

Rinse with saline (warm water and salt) twice daily and avoid sugar, hot and cold drinks and eating anything hard. Don't chew on that side obviously. Good luck.

By the way you have a lousy dentist. My dentist would have me in his office the same day. I would have gotten on the horn and shopped around for another who could take me prompto.

The reason your teeth are sensitive after fillings are because they drilled close to a nerve. Usually the pain subsides after a few days or a week after the filling...but if not, you may eventually need a root canal. It's no wonder you are feeling hot/cold as the filling was blocking that water so close to the nerve so be very careful in eating and drinking.

try drinking warm water, not cold as you're teeth are very sensitive, and chew on the opposite side to where your sore tooth is.maybe you could see another dentist if yours is unavailable until the 31st.its only a filling.

It is a dental emergency so the dentist will be willing to take you ASAP. It will also be a quick appointment too. If I were you, i'd have mama take you there now. Just go to the receptionist and she will put you in.

I've got about three fillings in my teeth and after I got them, the teeth were very senitive to cold water.I suggest you go back to your dentist soon to refill it or just avoid drinking water.
