I have already asked questions and have recieved many answers. One thing I would like to find out is which would be better: The Navy SEALS or the Marines. It may sound strange,Or maybe you know how I feel, but I find the challenging and mentally/physically exhausting to be fun. I find doing crazy things like jumping out of a plane and freefalling miles behind enemy lines or fighting off terrorists with only a couple other guys beside you to somthing that I would like to do. The question is what should I be looking to do when I join. Right now im shooting for the naval achademy, what should I be looking to do. Im deffinitly joining the military but what would be me best shot at doing stuff like that? Should I be considering The SEALS program or heading towrads force recon in the Marines? OR is there somthing else in another branch of the military that Im not seeing Im just unsure of which branch I should be looking to join to get what I want. I am dedicated and WILL work for it.

The marines are better for you to join. The Navy Seal have very tough training. During the first week of training, a lot of people that join the seal quits. Around 50%-75% quits during the first week. But! Hey that my opinion.

One does not just join the Seals, Rangers, Delta Force, Rangers, or even airborne without first making it through basic training. Pick your branch first, then go from there. The elite forces have god-awful training requirements, few make it.

i would look into the air force's Pararescueman or Combat control...it mixes everything in one (airborne, clearing out enemy territory, medic)....maybe even the green berets or ranger program in the army....but if its between the navy and marine corps then i would go marines ..oorah teufel hunden! just know this, im writing this from the middle east right now and you might be gung ho about it all before you join, but once your over here its a whole diferent story...

Seal training has a 75 to 80% drop out (or failure) rate.

Even the marines rely on the Navy to get where they need to go.
