Yes,depending on the State in which you reside. It makes it harder with a Misd conviction but not impossible, unless its a crime of violence,domestic abuse or weapons violations. Each police agency will have its own disqualifiers based on state law.

It depends on the PD/agency you are applying for. Three is quite a bit. I would check with the department (s) you are applying for before you start the process--might save you some time.

By law, yes they can, but it is going to be hard to find one that will hire you, If you do get hired it will most likely be with a small low paying department
