Most labs would consider the cut-off somewhere in the mid- 4 range. 4.1 is definitely on the low side. What you need to find out is the breakdown of your CBC, for example eosinophils, lymphocytes, retic, etc to see if there is a predominance of one type of cell that could be an indicator of some underlying hematologic medical condition.

Yes I think that 4.1 is on the low side.. normal range probably from 4-10..
u having a fever or infection? viral infection will have decrease your total white counts..
Better c a dr to monitor your white in case it drops lower..

yes it is my daughter just got diagnosed with leukemia 1month ago and when i brought her to the emergency room and when they could not find anything wrong with other culters they took blood and her (wb) count was low and the drs gave me a graph to show where a females counts should be aleast 13.0 and amales should be aleast4.5 so i suggest please go get a complete physical and best of luck to you and god bless don,t mean to scare you but this new to me so if it can help some one else i would be happy to

it is definitely low but different labs have different ranges. At 4,000 you should have been contacted by your attending physician and told why your WBC are so low.

i only know that my doctor told me i had a very high white blood count 15,000 and was put on IV antibiotics for 7 days
he said normal is 8,000-10,000..............hope it helps
