I took zoloft and it worked pretty well.. at first I was a mess, mad and crazy for about 5 days, then things evened out. I since discovered I have PCOS which was throwing my hormones out of whack so I started taking birth control and my moods have regulated as well and I no longer need any meds.
Now my mom on the other hand, is only sane when she uses her zoloft but she takes it until she feels better then stops because she thinks shes all done, but the fact is, she needs to use it to stay normal. uggh!

Zoloft made me have extreme mania, and it didn't help my depression very much. Lithium worked great for me along with a million other meds for depression. However, none of my meds have helped much with my anxiety.
I guess it really just depends on the person.

I take a combination of effexor XR, buspar and trazadone. Took several years to find the best meds and combination that works, have been on these now for 6 years. My life is so much improved!!

Neurontin works really good. have taken anti-depressants, they actually make me more nervous, and sick and dizzy. paxil is another that makes you feel wierd. Not a good feeling.
