I purchased a new condo with a small patio in front. But a lot of the space is filled with an ugly air conditioning unit. Any ideas on how I can make it less noticeable? Or decorate it so it looks nice.

Maybe you could have it covered up with something that could also double as a patio table and get a couple of chairs and you will have an outdoor setting.

You could build a screen around the front and sides with some lattice screening, leave room around it for the air to circulate and so you can get a cover on it for the winter. Then you can put potted plant around the screen.

you dont want to put anything on the unit if you re going to use it.even surrounding it too close is bad. it needs to breath and the condenser fan would blow anything off of it anyway. any chance of moving it to a more discreet locale?sometimes space is limited especially in a condo
