You can look on kelley blue book www.kbb.com where you not only can put an add for your car for sale but also to find out how much you car is worth, you can also check on www.nada.com to get a second opinion as far as the value before you put it for sell, I understand that this two are the most common references even for car dealers.

If you're looking for a new car, I'd suggest NewCars.com. Otherwise, cars.com is good as well.
