Nearest English word is:

Cogitatio - with someting in the context to define the type of mental operation.

Both 'imaginatio' and 'phantasia (fantasia)' translate more as a fancy, as in 'passing fancy', and mean imagination only in a capricious or delusive way.

'Figuratio' is an uncommon word, and has more to do with a shape, a form, a figure; it was also used like 'imaginatio' as a word for 'a fancy'
