I'm fairly new to Linux and I'm wondering which distribution some of you can recommend installing. Any advice for a newb is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You should definitely get either openSUSE 10.2 or Ubuntu.. As they are really easy and user friendly, and their office suites are compatible with Microsoft Office, so you won't have problems there...

I use openSUSE and would definitely recommend it over Vista.

Ubuntu is generally a good bet for someone starting out.
