He is the boy I have a crush on. We talk a lot, but usually he's the one that gets caught by the teacher. We've known each other from the start of this year, but we've been talking for a couple of months. I have half of my classes with him, and I sit by him in all those classes. We pass notes and talk, and I caught him staring at me a few times. You'd think I'd be all happy and mushy about this, but I'm worried that if I hope too much, I'll be really crushed if he doesn't like me. I've had bad experiences with crushes, so I just want your opinion on this situation. Should I tell him how I feel about him? I think we're casual friends by now...

I'm in a very similar situation except the guy knows I like him...trust me, if he really does like you like you think he does, he won't back off. The day he found out for real that I liked him (he had his assumptions) it was awkward but he made sure to keep trying to talk to me despite that. Everyone's different but if he really cares enough he'll stick around. Then you know he's in it for the long haul. I'm not saying he'll welcome everything with open arms at first, guys can be weird like that. Just trust your instincts but don't go overboard.

If he seems suddenly repulsed by you or gets incredibly annoyed, then just give him time. Probably means he's a jerk though. If he's a quiet guy in general it might take him awhile to warm up to the awkwardness.

I think he does like you, but ask yourself this...do you really want to go put with him, or just stay friends with him? If you really want to go out with him, then tell him how you feel.

He likes you :). and it must be embarasing being cought by teacher over and over for talking to you, so if he hasnt stopped yet, he must REALLY like to talk to you/
Ask him out. perhaps he is too afraid that you will reject him, so you should ask.

Ask if you can call him at home sometimes, take it slow, build up your confidence, when it is comfortable enough for you, then ask.
