Living near lake michigan there're low temps in summer & high temps in winter compared to other areas. Lake michigan accounts for the differenes why? What would seasonal temps be like without water?

water is a moderator. it hakes alot of energy to heat it up and it releases energy slowly. so the closer you are to a large body of water the less difference there will be in your average temperatures.

Near water is usually cooler. If there was no water, i think the temp. would increase a little.
